Company Registration
Registering a company is a crucial step in establishing a legal identity for your business. It involves selecting an appropriate business structure, such as a private limited company, limited liability partnership (LLP), or sole proprietorship, depending on your business needs.
The process typically includes obtaining a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC), Director Identification Number (DIN), and filing the necessary documents, such as the Memorandum of Association (MOA) and Articles of Association (AOA), with the Registrar of Companies (ROC). Proper company registration ensures that your business is legally recognized, providing credibility and access to various benefits, such as limited liability protection, the ability to raise capital, and eligibility to participate in government schemes. Documents Required for Company Registration:
- Identity Proof of Directors and Shareholders:
- PAN Card: A Permanent Account Number (PAN) card is mandatory for all Indian nationals involved in the company.
Passport (for Foreign Nationals): Foreign nationals must provide a copy of their passport as an identity proof
- Address Proof of Directors and Shareholders:
- Aadhaar Card: A widely accepted proof of address in India.
- Voter ID Card, Driving License, or Passport: Any of these documents can be provided as additional proof of address.
Utility Bill: Recent electricity or water bill (not older than 2 months) can also be used as address proof.
- Residential Address Proof of Directors:
Bank Statement/Telephone Bill/Electricity Bill: Must be recent (not older than 2 months) and in the name of the director.
Proof of Registered Office Address:
- Rent Agreement: If the office space is rented, a rent agreement and a NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the property owner are required.
- Property Ownership Documents: If the property is owned, a copy of the sale deed or property tax receipt is needed.
- Utility Bill: A recent electricity or gas bill for the office space (not older than 2 months).
- Photographs:
Passport-sized Photographs: Recent photographs of all directors and shareholders.
- Digital Signature Certificate (DSC):
A digital signature certificate for at least one director, required for signing electronic documents.
- Director Identification Number (DIN):
DIN for all directors, which can be obtained by filing a specific application along with identity and address proofs.
- Memorandum of Association (MOA) and Articles of Association (AOA):
- Drafted documents outlining the objectives, rules, and regulations governing the company.
