Import Export License Registration (IEC)
An Import Export Code (IEC) is a key business identification number that is mandatory for undertaking import and export activities in India.
Issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), the IEC is a one-time registration required for any business looking to engage in international trade. It is a prerequisite for availing benefits under various export promotion schemes and policies.
Documents Required:
- PAN Card: PAN card of the business or individual.
- Aadhaar Card: Aadhaar card of the proprietor or partners.
- Business Address Proof: Rental agreement or property ownership documents, and a recent utility bill.
- Bank Account Details: A canceled cheque or bank statement showing the account holder's name.
- Photograph: A passport-sized photograph of the applicant (proprietor, partner, or director).
- Digital Signature Certificate (DSC): For online submission of the application.
- Certificate of Incorporation: If the entity is a company, the certificate of incorporation along with the MOA and AOA.
