Port Registration (AD Code)
Port registration with an Authorised Dealer (AD) Code is essential for businesses engaged in import and export activities. The AD Code is a 14-digit number issued by a bank and registered with the port customs department.
It is mandatory for the clearance of shipments and facilitates the smooth processing of international trade transactions. The AD Code registration ensures that export proceeds are routed through the registered bank, allowing for proper tracking and compliance.
Documents Required:
- PAN Card: PAN card of the business entity.
- Import Export Code (IEC): A copy of the IEC certificate.
